New provisions for entry into Italy from Israel

According to the Healt Minister’s Ordinance of April 2, 2021, starting from April 7 and until May 15, for entry into Italy from Israel it is required:

  • to have a negative swab test (molecular or antigenic) carried out within 48 hours before entering Italy;
  • to undergo health surveillance and fiduciary isolation for a period of five days, upon notification of entry into Italy to the Department of Prevention of the competent local Health Authorities;
  • to carry out a further molecular or antigenic test at the end of the five-day isolation period.

These provisions do not apply to those who fall under the conditions of exemption as set out in Article 51(7) DPCM March 2,2021. See the exemptions here.

On the basis of Italian law, travel is allowed without the need for a motivation and therefore also for tourism. However, travellers must fill out a self-declaration form for entering Italy from abroad.

Warning!

For entry into Israel the provisions established by the Israeli authorities are still in force. For information, see this page.
