{"id":1983,"date":"2019-02-04T14:28:15","date_gmt":"2019-02-04T11:28:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambtelaviv.esteri.it\/news\/dall_ambasciata\/2019\/02\/attenzione-cittadinanza-per-matrimonio-2\/"},"modified":"2019-02-04T14:28:15","modified_gmt":"2019-02-04T11:28:15","slug":"attenzione-cittadinanza-per-matrimonio-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ambtelaviv.esteri.it\/en\/news\/dall_ambasciata\/2019\/02\/attenzione-cittadinanza-per-matrimonio-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Acquisition of Italian citizenship by marriage \u2013New regulation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As of <strong>4 december 2018<\/strong>, following the approval of the new Italian Government Law, n.132 of 1 December 2018, the following amendments to the Italian Citizenship Act n. 91\/1992, in particular with regard to naturalizations, have been introduced:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong> Duration of the administrative procedure<\/strong><\/span><br \/>The deadline for the completion of the administrative procedure, from the time of application to the granting of the Italian citizenship, has been adjusted to 4 years;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Language requirements<\/strong><\/span><br \/>An adequate knowledge of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linguaitaliana.esteri.it\/lingua\/corsi\/certificazioni\/ricerca.do\">Italian language<\/a> has been introduced as a requirement. The minimum qualification requested is level B1, which refers to a scale of competence set by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
