As part of our efforts to facilitate access to consular services for all Italian citizens residing in Israel, the Italian Embassy in Tel Aviv is pleased to announce three Open Days dedicated to the renewal of expiring passports. In addition to the Consular Office’s regular opening hours, new appointments will also be available on Sundays, November 30, December 7, and December 14, 2025, by appointment only to be scheduled on Prenotami.
Please note that on these additional days, the service will be provided only to citizens who:
- Are registered with AIRE (non-residents in an emergency will be handled through regular emergency services);
- Hold an expired passport or an expiring passport with less than six months of validity;
- Comply with their registry and marital status requirements.
When booking, you must upload:
- your “Sefach of your Teudat Zeut” or recent registry statement (Tamzit Rishum) to allow for the necessary personal and marital status checks (to be uploaded in the “Documents proving foreign residence” field);
- a copy of your expiring or expired passport (in the “Passport” field).
Appointments will be verified by Consulate staff, who will cancel reservations if they do not meet the service requirements. Please note that false self-certifications are punishable by law (Article 76 of Presidential Decree 445/2000).
Please note that the appointment can be in the name of one of the member of the registered household as recorded in the consular database. Minor children under 12 whose passports are not expiring may, in exceptional circumstances, be added to the appointment of the parent in the above-mentioned circumstances.
For checks regarding personal and marital status, please refer to the FastIT portal. Further information, required documents, and costs are available at the following links:
Please note! We only accept cash (payments can only be made in ILS – Shekel) and that both parents’ consent is required for minors’ passports.
