Opening of the Consular Chancery

In light of the ongoing war emergency in the country, we inform that the Consular Office will continue to provide limited services, prioritizing, first and foremost, appointments related to travel documents (passports and ETDs).

All services that can be provided locally or in Italy will not be guaranteed and alternative methods will be suggested.

For “translation conformity stamps,” notarized or certified translations may be used.

For DOVs, given that enrollment has not yet begun, the service is suspended, with the exception of recognition for professional reasons. For study purposes, please note that you may use CIMEA (considering that as soon as we resume full operations it may not be possible to clear backlogs, we recommend using this channel now).

For notarial services, please contact the consulate to determine the best option. Please note that notarial services are available to all Italian citizens, even non-residents.

For registering civil status documents, we recommend submitting digital documents with a digital apostille so you don’t have to visit our offices for delivery. We recommend using the FastIT system, where Italian citizens can also verify that their address has already been updated.

For declarations to register a birth for “benefit of law,” please note that the deadlines have been extended until 2029.

For all other matters, we remain available by phone and email.

For visas, the consular office continues to accept applications for national visas (category D). Priority will be given to processing visas for family reunification, work, and study.
