Demonstrations on 30 March and 15 April

The Israeli authorities informed that during demonstrations planned for 30 March and 15 April 2012 security checks at arrival to Israel will be intensified.  Foreign travelers might be held in custody, denied entry and returned to their port of origin.  Disturbances are also possible near Syria, Lebanon, Egypt and the Palestinian Territories (including the Gaza Strip).

Travelers are therefore advised to re-schedule their trips to Israel.  Italian travelers are also advised to visit the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Crisis Unit website
