Italy and Israel boast the highest level of cooperation in science and technology. These exceptional and deep relations are based on the traditional relationships between the academic and scientific communities of the two countries and are promoted and supported by the two governments with a series of programs and initiatives – defined on the basis of the 2000 Bilateral Cooperation Agreement in the field of Research and Industrial, Scientific and Technological Development . The Agreement covers the areas of greatest interest to both countries and all major Research Agencies and Entities.
At the Embassy of Italy in Tel Aviv this area is followed by the section dedicated to scientific and technological cooperation, which is responsible for facilitating the internationalization of Italian research and the development of bilateral relations between those active in the two countries.
