Services for the Italian citizen

Welcome to the channel dedicated to consular services. 

Please be informed that Italian citizens shall comply with Italian regulations and laws requesting that all national registries be kept up to date.

Art. 15 of the DPR 396/2000 provides that all declarations made regarding the personal status of an Italian citizen residing abroad shall be made to the Consular Authorities and a copy of the certificate is sent within a reasonable time.

Art. 6.1 of Law 470/1988 provides that Italian citizens moving abroad relocating from an Italian Comune shall declare their new residence to the Consular Authorities within 90 days from the move. Similarly, art. 6.3 provides that any change of address while abroad shall be reported within 90 days providing the details of all Italian citizens sharing the same dwelling.
